Math Work Stations by Debbie Diller

I've been reading this book online because it is free to read.  I really think that I need to purchase it so I can highlight and book mark pages that I want to refer back to.  Unfortunately when I joined the book study, I didn't realize how much I would LOVE this book and the ideas gained from it.  I can't wait to get into my classroom this fall to reorganize my math manipulatives and create a math station similar to my reading corner.  I will be adding this book to my next Amazon order!

Summer school

I just finished day three of summer school.  It was an exhausting day but we did have some fun with The True Story of the Three Little Pigs!  I always forget how tiring the first few days are with the littlest ones.

New to blogging

I have been looking at several other people's blogs and am sooo envious.  Where do you find all the cute frames?  Hopefully I will figure this out and continue blogging!

Math Workstations Book Study

1.  How do you (or will you) differentiate your math stations?  Right now I do not differentiate math stations.  I have all of my students working on the same objective at the same time.  I hope to have my math run like the Daily 5 does in my classroom.

2.  How and where do you keep your math stations? Right now all of my math manipulatives are kept in the math cabinet.  This cabinet has all of the manipulatives in labeled plastic containers.  (I will post a picture of it now when I get back in my classroom Monday)

3.  How do you keep your math materials organized.?  The math cabinet is organized and very accessible.  I am thinking about purchasing the plastic drawers I use for my weeks' lessons to use for Math Stations.  My plan is to begin the organization of Math Stations beginning the first week of school in the fall.  Right now I am gathering ideas and making a supply list.
